Integrating a retinol into your skincare routine is the next step to achieving rejuvenated looking skin. By using retinol also known as vitamin A, we are sloughing away dead skin cells. How exactly do we integrate this wonderful ingredient into our routine?

This product falls under the, "treat," category. Not only will this retinol keep your skin rejuvenated, but PCASKin's Retinol Treatments are geared towards specific skin concerns; acne, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, and sensitive skin. A specific retinol for what your skin needs.

Retinol slows down signs of aging, brightens hyperpigmentation and smooths any texture or scarring.

Start by using retinol 1-2X a week. It is a very active ingredient and it is important to ease your way into it. The following week you can do 2-3X a week. It is normal to experience dryness, redness and sensitivity. Once your skin is use to the retinol these symptoms will subside. You can use it the retinol almost everyday if you'd like. Although it is important to replace the moisture levels in your routine.

Make sure you are using the correct moisturizer for your skin type. On top of a moisturizer, I always recommend PCASkin Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum. It pairs extremely well with a retinol. Plumping your skin and replenishing any moisture loss. It penetrates deep into the skin instantly adding more hydration.

Last but not least always wear SPF. A retinol can cause sun sensitivity. It is imperative to use a spf when adding a retinol. This will ensure you are protecting your skin from damaging sun rays and combatting hyperpigmentation.
